CWP is a truly local charity which was founded to provide an alternative learning centre for the young residents of Preston and other neighbouring communities. We currently work in partnership with other local schools and colleges to fill a substantial void within the education sector. We want to continue to push the boundaries on what is seen as "formal education" and focus more on "alternative learning." We strive to continue finding alternative methods to encourage our young people to grow, develop, learn and ultimately go in to the world of work within the community or further afield. By doing this, our hope is that we reach further into the local communities and offer alternative forms of learning for even more local 14 - 19 year olds.
We understand that everyone has different needs and that everyone likes to learn in their own way. Because of this we try our best to cater for each of our students on an individual basis.
Through the use of action plans and individual learning plans, we are able to adapt activities and assessments to suit each student interests, making learning both approachable and enjoyable.
We strive to encourage independence, creativity and entrepreneurial qualities in all of our students and we feel that the Production Education concept helps to do just this.
